What is this study about? - Northwest Sleep Research is recruiting adults for an at-home sleep technology study. Participants sleep at home using study-provided equipment that monitors sleep and delivers non-invasive sleep stimulation. Brief tasks and questionnaires occur before and after sleep.
Who is eligible? - We are recruiting healthy adults in the Seattle area. Eligibility depends on a screening questionnaire and may include factors such as age, sleep schedule, medical history, medications, and ability to follow the study instructions.
What will I have to do? Participants will be asked to complete a screening form, attend a brief onboarding call, use study equipment overnight at home, and complete a 30-minute assessment before and after your night of sleep.
How many nights does the study involve? - This study involves three overnight sessions. Each session will occur approximately 1 week apart from each other.
How much will I be paid? - Participants receive $75 after each completed overnight session, with an additional $175 completion bonus paid after completing the third night, totaling up to $400 in total compensation. All compensation is paid in Amazon gift cards.
Is this a medical treatment? - No. This is a research study and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any medical condition.
Is the equipment safe? - The study uses mild, non-invasive sleep technology. Screening is required before participation, and participants receive instructions, safety information, and a contact method for study support before beginning.
What kind of data will you collect? - The study collects sleep-related physiological data, questionnaire responses, task performance data, and information needed to determine eligibility and compensate participants. No video or audio recording occurs. More details are provided before enrollment.
Can I stop participating? - Yes. Participation is voluntary, and participants may stop at any time.
